Parks can be a “me” place and a “we” place, and they never exclude people based on race, gender, or socioeconomic status. Parks belong to everyone. Parks enhance property value, and provide a space for people to come together as a community. Parks provide a vital link to nature, provide animal habitat and enhance the environmental health of a community. Parks also provide safe, well-maintained places to play and exercise, leading to healthier citizens and communities.
We love parks, and want to keep them healthy and strong so that they will provide all of these benefits to our children and their children.
As a member of the Whatcom Parks and Recreation Foundation you can help secure this legacy for Whatcom County. Members at all levels contribute to the ongoing operations, projects and events of the WPRF.
We’re lucky to live in a region so rich in natural beauty- please help our efforts to keep it that way.
